Celebration of Guru Poornima, Sai ka Aangan, Gurgaon
Celebration of Guru Purnima began early in the morning on 27th July 2018 at Sai Ka Aangan, Gurgaon with the ritualistic Puja. Dr. C.B. Satpathyji offered the Purna Ahuti after the hawan. A big fanfare followed the special Palki procession in the evening after the Dhoop Aarti. The ambience came alive with melodious bhajans sung by the choir group of Sai Ka Aangan. The customary Gopal Kala concluded the day-long celebration.
Launch of Mobile Application on Shri Guru Bhagavata, Bhubaneswar
Vision Printers & Publishers have developed a mobile application on “Shri Guru Bhagavata”, the magnum opus by Dr. C.B. Satpathy, with an objective to make “Shri Guru Bhagawat” accessible to everybody worldwide with ease. This is also aimed at making use of the latest technology in fulfilling the same. The mobile application of Shri Guru Bhagavata was launched by Governor of Odisha Prof. Ganeshi Lal at a grand function organised by Visions Printers Pvt. Ltd. at IDCOL Auditorium, Bhubaneswar on 3rd August 2018. The Braille version of Shri Guru Bhagabat (Odia) was also released on this occasion. Shri Prafulla Samal, Minister, Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Govt of Odisha, Shri Pratap Jena, Minister, Health, I & PR & Law, Govt of Odisha and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
Pran Pratistha of Sai Baba Temple, Nimapada
Dr. C.B. Satpathy ji attended the Pran Pratistha ceremony of a Sai Baba temple in Nimapada, Odisha on 1st August 2018. He addressed hundreds of Sai devotees, from many trusts of Odisha, who were present on this occasion.
Sai Sandhya by Sai Kashmiri Parivar, Gurugram
Sai Kashmiri Parivar, Gurgaon celebrated ‘Sai Sandhya’, a cultural evening to commemorate its second Foundation Day at Club Florence, Gurugram on 1st September 2018. Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy was the chief guest on the occasion. The function was specially organised to promote the Kashmiri language besides its rich culture and traditions.
On this day, a cheque of Rs. 25,000 was donated by Sai Kashmiri Parivar to Kashmiri Medical Emergency & Charitable Trust (KMECT), which is a voluntary organisation instrumental in providing medical financial assistance to the needy members of the Community across India. The website of Sai Kashmiri Parivar was inaugurated by Dr. Satpathyji on this day. A large number of Sai devotees from all over the National Capital Region and other parts of the country participated in this event.
Centenary Year Celebration at Perth, Australia on 6th October 2018
The Shirdi Sainath Perth Inc. hosted a global event celebrating Shirdi Sai Baba’s Maha Samadhi Centenary year on 6thOctober 2018 at Osborne Park Community Centre in Perth, Australia. It was organised in association with Shirdi Sai Global Foundation. The event was attended by Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy, Mrs Meera Satpathy, several devotees from the US, UK, Germany, New Zealand, Fiji, India and devotees from several cities in Australia. Australian Red Cross society made a presentation on blood donation to create awareness about community service. Children of Saraswati Mahavidyalaya and Narthanalaya School participated in a cultural programme. On 4th October 2018 as part of Meet and Greet event, Dr. Satpathyji addressed the executive committee and founder members of the Sansthan and other participants on important issues pertaining to the Global Sai movement.
Pranpratistha of Shri Sai Baba Temple, Chhatia, Odisha on 28th October 2018
Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathyji inaugurated a Shirdi Sai Baba temple at Kapastikiri near Chhatia, Jajpur, Odisha on 28thOctober 2018. Many local devotees along with trustees from various parts of India and other countries attended the function. On this occasion Dr. Satpathyji performed Baba’s Aarti and addressed the gathering.
Centenary Celebration at Auckland, New Zealand on 7th October 2018
Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan of New Zealand Inc organized the Centenary Year Celebration at Auckland on 7th October 2018. Dr. Satpathy ji was the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by Mrs Meera Satpathy, the Indian High Commissioner to New Zealand, Mr. Sanjay Kohli, as the Guest of Honour and other devotees from different countries. The cultural programme organised by the devotees in New Zealand included a traditional Maori welcome dance, popularly known as Hakka as well as musical songs written and composed by Dr. Satpathy. Celebration of Guru Samarpan Divas, Mumbai on 4th November 2018
The 16th Guru Samarpan Divas was celebrated by Kaka Saheb Dixit Trust of Shri Sai Baba, Mumbai on 4th November 2018. This annual event commemorates the first darshan of Shri Sai Baba by Shri Kakasaheb Dixit on 2nd November 1909. After the dhoop aarti and a beautiful Nritya Vandana by Dr. Uma Rele and her troop, Shri Anilbhai Dixit gave a detailed account of various activities conducted by Trust during the Centenary year celebration of Shri Sai Baba Maha Samadhi under guidance of Shirdi Sai Global Foundation. Dr. Satpathyji appreciated the social work performed by the Trust. During the Bhajan Sandhya, Pt. Ajit Kadkade sang beautiful devotional songs. The program ended with Sej Aarti and mahaprasad.
Tigri Mela from 20th to 23rd November 2018
Under the aegis of Shirdi Sai Global Foundation, a service camp was organized by Shri Shirdi Sai Karuna Sansthan, Moradabad at Tigri from 20th to 23rd November 2018. More than 150 devotees from Gurugram, Delhi, Moradabad and other places attended the camp. Besides food, lodging, toilet facilities and a seminar pandal, the camp had a Pooja pandal where Aartis of Shri Sai Baba were conducted. Activities like “Samuhik Shri Saisatcharitra Parayan”, night long Shri Sai Naam Jaap, “Shri Satya Narayan Katha Pooja” and distribution of food, clothing and medicines were conducted.
A seminar on “Pollution” was organized on 22nd November 2018. Shri Bhagirathi Nanda, Dr J.P. Singh, Shri Prabhu Narayani and Shri Vijay Baghel from Ghaziabad were guest speakers. Dr. Ajay Anupam, Dr Ambrish Garg, Dr Kaushlya Devi and Dr Anju Goel also participated in the seminar. An intensive Ganga cleaning activity was undertaken by the volunteers of Shirdi Sai Global Foundation. A display gallery was created to highlight the Philanthropic activities, service to underprivileged sections of society and disaster relief work by different associated units of Shirdi Sai Global Foundation under the guidance of Dr. C.B. Satpathyji.
Inauguration of a Medical Camp, Igania, Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 26th November 2018
A free medical camp was organized by Shri Sai Baba Temple, Igania, Bhubaneswar in association with ASRI Hospital in the Temple campus. Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy inaugurated the medical camp. Free medical checkup by specialist doctors and free medicines are provided to the needy by the Trust. Financial support was also rendered to meritorious students who required help for completing their education.
Janma Tithi celebrations of Shri Guru Bhagavat on Kartik Purnima, 2018
Dr. Satpathyji started composing the Shri Guru Bhagavat by penning down the first four lines in Odia language on the Kartik Purnima 2001. This is the 'Janma Tithi' or the birthday of Shri Guru Bhagavat. Since then, the epic treatise has been released in six volumes in Odia containing more than 24,000 lines. It has already been translated into more than 10 Indian languages.
This year, The Guru Bhagavat Janma Tithi was celebrated globally by various trusts and temples. Activities like Guru Bhagavat Parayan, recitation and ‘Akhand Paath’ (24 Hours) were conducted in several cities in the US, UK, Germany, Austria, Finland, Australia, New Zealand and India.
The event was celebrated by devotees in several parts of India such as Puri, Iginia, Tankapani Road, Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur, Keunjhar, Baripada, Gopalpur, Cuttack, Charpali, Aathagarh, Nuagaon and Shyampur in Odisha, Danapur, Chakradharpur, Naubatpur and Patna in Bihar, Guwahati and Nagaon in Assam, Gurugram in Haryana, Raipur in Chhattisgarh, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, Pune in Maharastra, Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, Chennai and Hosur in Tamil Nadu and Kochi in Kerala. Shri Guru Bhagavat Parayan was done in the Jagannath temple. In Sai Ka Aangan, Gurugram the complete set of the sacred volumes of Shri Guru Bhagavat in Odia was taken to the Sabha Mandap in a traditional procession along with its other translated editions. Dr. Bhagirathi Nanda addressed the audience on Shri Guru Bhagavat. The participants were dressed in the traditional costumes of each state they represented.
Inauguration of Sai Sevalaya, Berhampur, Odisha on 26th November 2018
Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathyji visited Shri Sai Baba temple, Berhampur on 26th November 2018. He inaugurated the newly constructed building, Sai Sevalaya which will facilitate various activities of the Trust. On this occasion, a Bhajan Sandhya was performed by the devotees.
