Vasant Utsav - 2023, Sai Ka Aangan, Gurgaon

Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathyji was inspired by Shri Sainath’s appreciation for art and culture during His lifetime. He thus introduced and initiated the celebration of Vasant Utsav at Sai Ka Aangan in the year 2003. The Utsav is celebrated on the occasion of Basant Panchami every year. The 21st year of the cultural fiesta was hosted at the Aangan on 29th January, 2023. After two years of virtual celebration pertaining to COVID restrictions, everyone was gratified to be present in person to witness the live show organized in association with CBS Cultural Foundation. Yellow coloured decorations adorned the Aangan premises in tune with the colour theme of the festivity. Devotees came in great numbers to attend the festivity despite the inclement weather. Chief Guest, Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathyji was ushered to the venue with the ceremonial notes of the nadaswaram, and accorded a formal welcome as per South Indian traditions. The event was then inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by Dr. Satpathyji.
As the evening progressed, children of Sai Ka Aangan delighted the gathering with soulful rendition of the Saraswati Vandana and other devotional songs. Nav Pravah - a documentary showcasing the holistic growth of children through experiential learning under the able guidance of Dr. Satpathyji, was much appreciated. A play titled Sadguru Mera Meet was staged on this eventful evening, with the message that when there is no one to fall back upon in moments of distress, Guru Vakyas are the guiding principles. The children of the Aangan held the audience in rapt attention with their Odishi dance performance and later, their harmonious vocal and percussion recitals for the Grand Finale brought an end to the cultural extravaganza. All the children of the Sai Ka Aangan Music Group have been handpicked by Dr. Satpathyji himself, who has continually enhanced their cultural quotient by guiding and training them personally.
At the end of the cultural show, Dr. Satpathyji addressed everyone present and mentioned that the Aangan is like a garden where the seeds, that is the talents of the children, are sown and nurtured with care. He appreciated the commitment of the children of the Aangan and lauded the efforts of everyone involved in putting up the grand show. Noted Door darshan news reader, Ms. Jyotsna Rai was the presenter of the programme. Managing Trustee Ms. Kumkum Bhatia extended the vote of thanks. Langar Prasad was served to all.
