13th July is proclaimed as Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Day & Shri Guru Bhagwat Day

Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Ji had the esteemed privilege of being the Chief Guest at the "Celebrating the Shri Guru Bhagwat" event, organized by WASITRAC in Seattle, USA, on the 13th of July 2023, held at China Harbor Lake Union, Seattle. This special occasion was dedicated to honoring and paying tribute to Shri Guru Bhagwat, Dr. Satpathy Ji's magnum opus originally written in Odia, comprising eight volumes with over 34,000 lines.

The book has been translated into more than sixteen languages and musically composed by Dr. Satpathy Ji in various languages, including Odia, Bhojpuri, Maithili, Assamese, Telugu, Punjabi, Rajasthani, and Hindi, and sung by renowned singers like Smt. Sharda Sinha (Padma Bhushan Awardee), Harsdeep Kaur, Zubin Garg, Torali Sharma, S Janaki, and others.

At the event, Dr. Satpathy Ji received four prestigious honors, comprising three proclamations and a letter of honor:

I) King County proclaimed 13th July as "Shri Guru Bhagwat Day."
II) The City of Seattle proclaimed 13th July, 2023, as "Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Day," with City Mayor Mr. Bruce A. Harrell bestowing the honor upon him.
III) The City of Bellevue declared 13th July, 2023, as "Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Day" through its City Mayor.
IV) A letter of honor from Senator of State of Washington, Ms. Maria Cantwell, was presented to Dr. Satpathy, celebrating the "Guru Bhagwat Day" in Washington.

Such a distinction is a testament to the book's profound impact on readers from all walks of life, including spiritual seekers, professionals, and householders.
At the event, various esteemed delegates were present, including Lt. Governor Brad Owen, Bob Hasegawa (State Senator), Jared Nieuwenhuis (Bellevue City Deputy Mayor), Leesa Manion (King County Prosecutor), Jimmy Matta (Burien City Council Member), Brad Miyake (Bellevue City Manager), James Bush (King County Outreach), Hisao Inagaki (Consul General of Japan), and Assunta Ng (Northwest Asian Weekly Publisher).
Dr. Satpathy Ji expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the bestowed honor, both personally and on behalf of his magnum opus, Shri Guru Bhagwat. He emphasized the significance of Guru Tatwa, transcending religious boundaries, and stressed the importance of teachers in our lives. In his message, he highlighted the need to adapt to changing times and reject blind faith for spiritual growth.
