Silver Jubilee Celebration of Shri Guru Bhagwat

Bhubaneswar, December 24, 2025 — The 80th birth anniversary of revered spiritual leader Guruji Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy ji, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of his sacred scripture "Shri Guru Bhagwat", was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Hotel Swosti Premium, Bhubaneswar.

The auspicious occasion drew a distinguished gathering of devotees, scholars, intellectuals, social leaders, and eminent personalities from across India and abroad.

To mark the milestone celebration, Dr. Satpathy ji unveiled his latest book, Shirdi Sai Baba: Eka Preranadayi Jeevan, the Odia edition of his widely acclaimed work first published in English by HarperCollins. The book, now published by Visions Printer & Publisher, Bhubaneswar, has earlier appeared in Gujarati, Marathi, English, and Hindi, earning widespread recognition as a bestseller.

Another highlight of the event was the release of the first Santali edition of "Shri Guru Bhagwat". The scripture, translated into multiple Indian languages and published in nine volumes, continues to serve as a beacon of spiritual enlightenment for seekers worldwide.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Satpathy ji spoke on the elevation of inner consciousness, emphasizing the infinite vastness of creation and the limitations of human understanding. He urged everyone to live joyfully, spread happiness, and extend compassion to the poor, suffering, and neglected, reminding attendees that divine consciousness resides equally in all beings—humans and animals alike.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Jitendra Kumar Mahanty, Chairman of Swosti Premium Hotel, who shared personal reflections on Guruji’s divine presence and spiritual influence.

As part of the celebration, students from Shirdi Sai Baba Temples at Tankapani Road and Naharkanta performed cultural programmes showcasing Odisha’s rich heritage through Odissi dance and Jagannath devotional music. Popular vocalists Antara Chakraborty, Sohini Mishra, Biswajit Mahapatra, and Shantanu Nayak captivated the audience with soulful bhajans.

To commemorate the day, a grand birthday cake-cutting ceremony was held, and Guruji also inaugurated a new website dedicated to Shri Guru Bhagwat—featuring an information repository and a chatbot to answer readers’ queries. Additionally, a special souvenir titled “Bhakta Manjari”, compiling devotees’ spiritual experiences, was released to mark the occasion.
