Sai Ka Aangan, Gurgaon Celebrates Lohri 2026 with Vibrant Bonfires and Traditional Fervor

Gurgaon, January 13, 2026 — The festival of Lohri was celebrated with great enthusiasm across northern India today, marking the end of winter and the onset of the harvest season. At Sai Ka Aangan in Gurgaon, the occasion gained added significance with the gracious presence of revered spiritual leader Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy ji.

The celebration began with the evening aarti, followed by Dr. Satpathy ji lighting the sacred Lohri bonfire amid chants and devotional fervor. Devotees participated in the traditional puja, offering sesame seeds, jaggery, popcorn, and peanuts to the flames — a symbolic gesture of gratitude and prayers for abundance and well-being.

Lohri, deeply rooted in agrarian tradition, holds special importance for farming communities, particularly across Punjab and Haryana. It heralds the harvest of rabi crops and is also dedicated to the Sun God, invoking blessings for prosperity and renewed energy.

As the bonfire blazed against the winter night, its warm glow reflected the collective joy, hope, and spiritual optimism of the community — carrying prayers for a fruitful year ahead filled with happiness, good health, and prosperity.
