Kheer Bhawani (Jyestha Ashtami) Mela, Sai Ka Aangan, Gurgaon - 2023 The 2nd Annual Kheer Bhawani Mela was celebrated on 28th May 2023(Jyestha Ashtami) at Kheer Bhawani Temple on the premises of Sai Ka Aangan Gurgaon. Mata Kheer Bhavani is the most famous deity of Kashmir situated over a spring in the village of Tulmul in Ganderbal at a distance of 23 Km from Srinagar, J&K. Every year a mela takes place on Jyestha Shukla asthami tithi. Swami Vivekananda also visited this place. Guruji Dr. C B Satpathy is the founder patron of Sai Kashmiri Parivar at Gurgaon. With his inspiration on the 3rd of June 2022, the inauguration of the temple and Pranpratistha of Kheer Bhawani Maa or Ragnya Bhawani Devi was conducted by Dr. Satpathyji in the premises of Sai Ka Aangan, Gurgaon. This year, Mata Kheer Bhavani mela was organized on 28th May 2023 on the premises of Sai Ka Aangan. The event included puja, archana of Mata and rendition of Prarthana and Aarati in Kashmiri. Guruji Dr. C B Satpathyji gave Purnahuti of the hawan. Dr. Satpathy also inaugurated the Mela at the same place, where stalls showcasing Kashmiri handicrafts, Kasmiri Spices and traditional Kashmiri snacks like Nadurmonja & Luchi were put. Kheer was distributed as the main prasad to all. About five hundred displaced Kashmiri families from Gurgaon, Delhi, Faridabad, Noida and certain other places participated from 7:30 AM till 10 PM. Dr. Satpathyji addressed thousands of devotees who had come from different parts of NCR. Dr Satpathy informed that according to the available information when Swami Vivekananda had visited Kashmir in 1890, he had worshipped Maa Kheer Bhawani for six days, who appeared before him as a little girl. Dr. Satpathyji stated that God might have different forms, but the source of all deities is from the same cosmic energy. In the evening an event was organised for the digital release of the audio-visuals of Shri Jagannath Sangeetayan . Shri Jagannath Sangeetayan is a collection of five audio-visuals based on Dr C B Satpathy ji’s songs on Shri Jagannath which can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/@cbsliteraturemusic. The lyrics were written by Dr Satpathy and also the musical compositions. These audio-visuals were staged at Geet Govind Sadan, Bhubaneswar on 20th May 2022 and are produced by Bini Samal & Nihar Samal of Sai Sradha Production. The numbers are sung by famous odia Singers including Pranab Patnaik, Trupti Das, Debasish Mohapatra, Antara Chakraborty and Karunakar Sethi.
