Shri Sai Devasthan, under the aegis of Shri Shirdi Sai Bhakta Mandal, Chakradharpur, witnessed a significant spiritual occasion on the 21st Jan 2026 with the visit of noted spiritual leader and author, Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy Ji.
Invited by the temple’s trustee, Dr. Satpathy Ji offered prayers at the sanctum of Shirdi Saibaba and inaugurated two newly established facilities within the temple premises — Shri Guru Bhagwat Tungi and a dedicated library.
The Shri Guru Bhagwat Tungi has been envisioned as a sacred space where devotees can regularly recite the Shri Guru Bhagwat and participate in spiritual discourses and related activities. Complementing this, the adjoining library has been set up to provide seekers and readers access to the literary works of Dr. Satpathy Ji along with writings of other eminent authors, thereby enriching the spiritual and intellectual environment of the temple.
The occasion carried added significance as the temple itself holds a deep connection with Dr. Satpathy Ji. It was he who performed the Pran Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) of the temple on January 26, 2016, laying the foundation for its spiritual journey. Over the years, Dr. Satpathy Ji has also played a pivotal role in initiating the activities of BNB Chakradharpur, a platform dedicated to nurturing young minds through programs in character building, music, dance, and cultural development.

The inauguration of these new facilities marks another milestone in the temple’s mission to serve as a center of devotion, learning, and cultural enrichment for the community. Devotees and local residents expressed their joy at the expansion, noting that the initiatives will further strengthen the temple’s role as a hub of spiritual practice and cultural growth in the region.
