The term "Tungi" traditionally signifies a venue in Odisha where diverse religious, cultural, and literary dialogues and performances have thrived since ancient times. The inauguration of Shri Guru Bhagwat Tungi commenced with traditional worship ceremonies conducted by pundits. Dr. Satpathy ji performed the customary Hawan and Puja rituals. Devotees from diverse cultures and languages joined the occasion, reciting the Shri Guru Bhagwat Prarthana (prayer) in Odia language, demonstrating the global reverence for Shri Guru Bhagwat, its author, and the Odia language. Over 250 devotees from various states of India and abroad were present to witness this ceremony. It's noteworthy to mention that the remarkable work of Dr. Satpathy, who has authored over 68 books in Hindi, English, and Odia languages, titled "Shri Guru Bhagwat," is available in 18 different languages, including English, with translations underway into German and Chinese. This book illuminates various aspects of the Guru Tradition spanning ancient times and is not focused on any particular Guru, thereby encompassing all religions, creeds, sects, and paramparas. Originally composed in Odia using the unique Nabakshri poetic meter, Shri Guru Bhagwat comprises approximately 34,000 lines across eight volumes.
