'Pranam Gurudev' - A cultural evening at Anugul, Odisha
Shri Shirdi Sai Parivar, Anand Nagar (Anugul) had the honor of inviting Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy ji as the Chief Guest for the cultural event 'Pranam Gurudev'. Dr. Satpathy ji had earlier performed the Bhumi Puja (land consecration) for the temple in 2011, which is currently under construction.
During the morning session, Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy ji engaged in a heartfelt interaction with devotees, addressing their queries and offering insightful guidance.
The evening session commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy ji, marking the auspicious beginning of the program. This was followed by a soulful rendition of 'Guru Vandana' by visually impaired students, which deeply moved the audience. The session continued with the recitation of the 'Pita Mata Stabak'—a heartfelt prayer from the Shri Guru Bhagwat dedicated to honoring one’s parents.
Dr. Sudha Mishra (retired DDG of All India Radio) provided an insightful introduction to the sacred text Shri Guru Bhagwat, highlighting its profound spiritual significance and its impactful contribution to society through the promotion of values such as compassion, devotion, and service.
Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathy ji expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all the team members who contributed to the successful organization of the event. He also shared how the sacred text Shri Guru Bhagwat has been a source of solace and spiritual strength for individuals in distress, including those on their deathbed, citing references that illustrate its transformative impact.
