Shri Sai Sewa Pratishan, Alandi Road, Pune celebrated it’s Foundation day on 4th June, 2017. A cultural function was organised on this occasion, wherein the Former President of India, Dr Pratibha Devisingh Patil, who was the chief guest, felicitated Revered Guruji Dr C B Satpathy for his lifelong humanitarian endeavors and spreading of Indian Culture, Philosophy and Spirituality in numerous national and international forums. Shri Dilip Kamble, Minister Govt. of Maharashtra, Shri Shriranga Barne, Shri Sadashiv Lokhande and Shri Amar Sable, Members of Parliament were other distinguished guests in addition to the trustees of many Shri Sai temples from all across India. 

 

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest, Dr Pratibha Patil, urged the temples to dedicate themselves to the service of humanity, and in this context, she cited the example of the path shown by Dr Satpathy in selfless devotion and service to the humanity. She also released the Marathi version of the third volume of the magnum opus titled ' Shri Guru Bhagawat', written originally in Odia language by Dr Satpathy. Shri Guru Bhagawat is the encyclopedia covering all the dimensions of Guru- Disciple tradition. 

 

In his discourse, Dr Satpathy, emphasised upon the value of self-less service and simplicity as main pillars of spiritualism. He recalled the principles shown by Shri Shirdi Sai and also presented many hitherto unknown facts related to Shri Shirdi Sai Baba’s life, which Dr Satpathy has gathered during his research on Shri Shirdi Sai over the last two decades. 

 

The Chief Guest, Dr Pratibha Patil, also inaugurated a logo titled 'From Century - Towards Eternity' , to mark the forthcoming centenary celebrations of the Mahasamadhi of Shri Shirdi Saibaba. The logo belongs to  Shirdi Sai Global Foundation, a registered Public Charitable Trust under the Chairmanship of Dr Satpathy. 

 

Bhajans performed by famous Marathi singer Pandit Ajit Karkare was well appreciated. The Chairman of Shri Sai Sewa Pratishthan, Shri Subhash Nelge thanked Guruji Dr Satpathy for his constant guidance and inspiration. He thanked the Chief Guest Dr Pratibha Patil, former President of India for her gracious presence and all other distinguish guests, trustees of Shri Sai temples and the devotees for their presence in the function. 

 

On the next day, 5th June 2017, Dr Satpathy also performed the pran-pratistha of the idols of Ram Darbar, and idols of other deities and Saints in the temple premises and consecrated the temple Kalash.
